However, please note that these pouches contain a tear-off strip, so the very top of the pouch (i.e. above this strip) will be removed when the pouch is opened. Please note the position of the tear-off strip, as outlined in our design tool.

Yes it can. However, please note that all text needs to be outlined and the minimum printable font size is 10pt.

Yes it can. The print area is fixed within set margins from the edge of the pouch, so your design can extend all the way to the edge of the print area.

We do not recommend printing large, solid areas, as mottling can occur due to the digital print process.

We can, but if you are printing on a brown pouch, we would recommend a simple design in a single colour, to reduce the potential darkening effect caused by the brown paper.

No. It is not possible to print white so, if your design includes white, please choose white pouches. If your design includes lighter colours, we recommend also choosing white pouches, for more accurate colour reproduction and to reduce the potential darkening effect caused by the brown paper.

Yes you can. Our design tool will provide a preview of what the design will look like on your pouch. Please note that this is for illustrative purposes and not an exact preview of what your pouches will look like. If you wish to see a preview of your pouch, you can order a sample (see next question).

Yes you can. After placing your order, you will be contacted by the PB Print team. You can request a single sample of your pouches from them at a cost of £25 + VAT. This fee is refundable upon request after your order is complete.

No, these pouches are not recyclable in paper recycling streams, but they are suitable for disposal in an industrial composting facility, along with other organic waste (e.g. food and garden waste). Please always check with your local authority to see if they accept compostable packaging in their organic recycling.

Yes, these pouches are suitable for industrial composting. They are made from brown kraft paper laminated to a layer of Polylactic Acid (PLA), which is a material made using renewable resources - such as sugar cane or corn starch - that conforms to industrial composting standard EN13432. We advise that customers check with their local authority to see if they accept compostable packaging in their organic waste collection.

These pouches must be stored in a cool, dark place, in their original packaging. They have a maximum shelf life of 12 months as standard, as they are designed to structurally break down and decompose after this point. Exposure to sunlight, direct heat or moisture can reduce this shelf life.
