These bags are made from heavy duty 100-gsm kraft paper featuring a water-resistant composition, and are 100% recyclable.
They are also certified FSC Mix by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), which means they are manufactured with a mixture of materials from FSC-certified forests, recycled materials, and/or FSC-controlled wood, for a more sustainable product.
How do I add my own design onto the bags?
Once you have chosen your design options (single/multi-colour, print on one/both sides), click on 'Add Your Design' to open our design tool, which allows you to upload an image (e.g. company logo) or create your own design.
Can I print on just one side of the bag?
Yes. You can print on either the front or back of the mailing bag, or print on both sides.
Can I have a different design printed on each side of the bag?
Yes, each side of the bag is designed separately, so you can have different designs printed on either side, if you wish to.
Why is the print area on the front of the bag bigger than the print area on the back?
When this mailing bag is sealed, the seal covers part of the back of the bag. The back of the bag also contains recycling information. Both of these factors reduce the available print area.
Can my design include text?
Yes it can. However, please note that all text needs to be outlined and the minimum printable font size is 10pt.
Can my design extend all the way to the edge of the print area?
Yes it can. The print area is fixed within set margins from the edge of the bag, so your design can extend all the way to the edge of the print area.
Can my design include large areas of solid colour?
We do not recommend printing large, solid areas, as mottling can occur due to the digital print process.
Can you print any type of design?
We can, but if you are printing on a brown paper bag, we would recommend a simple design in a single colour, to reduce the potential darkening effect caused by the brown paper.
Can you print in any colour?
No. It is not possible to print white so, if your design includes white, it can not be printed on brown paper. If your design includes other light colours, accurate colour reproduction may be difficult to achieve on brown paper, due to the potential darkening effect caused by the paper.
Can you print white on a brown bag?
No. It is not possible to print white. If your design includes white, it can not be printed on a brown paper bag.
Do printed colours look the same on white and brown bags?
No. White paper allows for more accurate colour reproduction, whereas brown paper can produce a slight darkening effect, especially with lighter colours.
Can I see a preview of my design?
Yes you can. Our design tool will provide a preview of what the design will look like on your bag. Please note that this is for illustrative purposes and not an exact preview of what your bags will look like. If you wish to see a preview of your bag, you can order a sample (see next question).
Can I order a sample of my bags printed with my design?
Yes you can. After placing your order, you will be contacted by the PB Print team. You can request a single sample of your bags from them at a cost of £25 + VAT. This fee is refundable upon request after your order is complete.
Are these bags recyclable?
Yes. These bags are 100% recyclable. They can be disposed of in any regular paper and cardboard recycling streams, including kerbside collections (always check locally).
